Revive your luscious locks with oils

For hair that’s looking a little dry and in need of some serious TLC you’ll want to turn to the oils in your cupboard to inject some much needed moisture back into your locks. Olive oil is a wonderful overnight treatment for hair that is looking a little frazzled due to daily heat styling.

The best way to treat your hair with olive oil is to dampen your hair and then comb the oil through, avoiding the roots, and concentrating on the ends. (The ends of your hair can really suffer from lack of moisture, particularly if you are using blow dryers, straighteners and curling irons on a regular basis.)

So, you’ll want to concentrate particularly on the midsection of your hair, through to the ends. You can then lightly braid your hair, cover your head with a loose fitting, shower cap and get a good night’s beauty sleep. Then voila! In the morning you can wash out the remaining oil and enjoy sleeker, shinier hair. Do this treatment once a week if you want to keep your hair really healthy and hydrated.

If you have problems with a dry scalp then coconut oil is the best thing that you can use for massaging into your scalp to give your skin a super intensive scalp mask. Leave the oil on for anytime, up to an hour, and then wash off. Repeat this as many times as you need until your scalp is looking healthy again and then repeat once a week, or bi-weekly to keep your scalp and hair roots in premium condition.

Exfoliate your lips with a sugar scrub

Lips can really suffer when the seasons change. They can be one of the most sensitive areas of our bodies in terms of reacting to changes in temperature and humidity. Therefore, it’s essential to keep our lips well looked after. With just a few ingredients like almond oil, sugar and honey you can be priming your lips to plump perfection all from the comfort of your own home.

Reveal youthful skin with a simple mix

One of the best things that you can do for your skin when it is looking a little tired and neglected is to give it a really good exfoliation treatment. Again you don’t need to invest in the expensive exfoliation creams and gels in the shops, you have everything you need right in your kitchen cupboards. Simply mix sugar and coconut oil, rub all over your damp body and then rinse off to reveal more youthful and glowing skin beneath.
