Shopping your own closet is fun, fierce and frugal. I don’t know about you, but sometimes I can get so caught up in always buying new and more, that I forget what I already own. Whether you think something is “too fancy” or “too casual” to wear for different occasions, think again. It hardly matters—unless we’re talking about a ball gown or something. Take this wild, silky, spotted, spaghetti strap dress I’m wearing for example. On my birthday, I wore it on its own with my gorgeous Charles & Keith sandals. Then, when I was dying to wear it in a more casual scenario, I simply added a white t-shirt underneath. It totally changed the look of the dress. Don’t you think?

For both looks, I actually wore the same shoes and kept my hair the same too. All it took was slipping it on over a basic tee to completely switch it up. Now I feel like I have two leopard print dresses for the price of one. It’s a total win for my wardrobe—and my wallet.
