5 Ways to Stay Fierce & Do Good with Fashionable Charity

Donating to a cause and volunteering is fabulous, of course, but do you ever wish that you’d have something stylish to show for it? With fashionable charity options, it’s possible to help fight cancer, help end poverty and support women in need—all while staying completely fierce. I’ve rounded up five of my favourite ways to participate in fashionable charity. From purchasing a bag from Eila Chérie to shopping secondhand, here’s how you can do good and look even better.

And let’s be clear about one thing: by fashionable charity I don’t mean that it’s on-trend right now and won’t be later. I mean that you can look good, feel good and do good all at the same time.

Fashionable Charity:
It’s Possible to Stay Fierce & Do Good

Eila Chérie

Isn’t this the fiercest backpack you’ve ever seen? Well, guess what? When you purchase anything from Eila Chérie, they’ll donate 10% of the proceeds to charity. Each year, they change their cause—this year, it’s Global Fund for Women. And who doesn’t want to support their fellow fierce females, right? Get your fashionable charity on and shop the Alice Backpack here.

GLAM4GOOD

Here’s what you need to know: GLAM4GOOD is a “non-profit organization that creates and celebrates social impact, and empowerment through beauty and style.” As they like to say, they’re the style that matters. One thing I love about them is that one of their aims is to instill confidence in women. Hell yes to female power!

Sevenly

Sevenly bases their business on a simple concept: people matter! Essentially, it’s an online shop but instead of them taking all the proceeds, a portion of the money they make gets donated to different causes—such as modern slavery, disaster relief, education. On each item it’ll tell you what it’s benefitting so you know exactly what you’re donating towards.

Common Sort

Of course, you can always head to the thrift shop to get your dose of fashionable charity. Perhaps you’re not helping a specific person, but you’re helping the environment. Thrifting helps to reduce waste while keeping you fiercely fashionable. You know how much I love thrift shopping—especially at Common Sort. Check out my secondhand splurging tips here.

National Geographic’s Big Cats Initiative

Wear what you want, look how you want and, well, you can even be where you want with this one. But one thing is for sure: you’ll help save the lives of leopard, tigers, lions, cheetahs and more with National Geographic’s Big Cats Initiative. What I’d do is dress in my most fab thrifted leopard look and then donate to the cause.
