3 Ways to Stay Stylish When You’re Stuck at Home

The Best Boutiques in Lima, Peru | The Lady-like Leopard blog by Melina Morry

Being stylish is something we learn. As children we wear what our parents buy for us. And as we grow older, we go through a rebellious phase that we look back on with a hint of shame. (Don’t tell me you looked like you were straight off the runway.) But as fully functioning adults, feeling stylish at home can be one of the most rewarding feelings.

Of course, your home is the place where you can spill something down your top and not feel the need to immediately clean it off. But it’s also the place where you’re most comfortableand that means you can be as experimental as you want with your fashion away from any prying eyes. And sometimes we just feel bad for lounging a little too much! However, even when you don’t feel like putting the effort in, having the right accessories around you can really make you feel like a glamour model, even when you’re just lounging on the sofa!

Feeling Stylish at Home is Ultra-Glam & Super Easy

Categorize your wardrobe

Not only are you going to feel a lot more productive, but you’re also going to know exactly what’s in your wardrobe and how you feel about your clothes. You can separate out three distinct piles here: would wear outside, would only wear inside, and would never wear. And as for the latter pile, you can either sell these clothes or donate them to free up some much needed space on your hangers.

And now you can get to the experimenting part of things! Pair things together and have a whole afternoon of working in your own salon, with crazy hairstyles and plenty of selfies.

Wear some cute slippers

If you’ve got something on your feet, you’re going to be a lot more comfortable when walking over hardwood floors or short carpets. Not to mention, when you feel relaxed, you feel glamorous! And having something to soften your steps when you absolutely have to get up is a surefire way to to feel like that.

You can buy some wool based slippers from farm to feet if you know you’d like the feel of something authentic. Plus, they’ll last a lot longer than something synthetic from the local supermarket. How comfortable your toes will be is completely worth the investment!

Put your makeup on

It’s always a good idea to let your skin breathe when you’re not out and about, and you know you’ve been caking on the foundation a bit too much lately. However, makeup is one surefire way to make sure you like what you see when you look in the mirror, even if you’re still in a pair of sloppy pajamas.

Just a few quick spots of concealer and some red lipstick can make all the difference, and make you really appreciate how good your skin does look. Pop some mascara on and voila! You’ve got an impactful look quick and easy.

Feeling stylish at home doesn’t have to take too much of the energy you’re meant to be recharging.
