Sometimes it’s just nice to get away. I mean, you don’t really have to go far! Even just 20 minutes across the city can be enough. Which is why when I checked in for my Radisson Admiral staycation I felt immediately relaxed, rejuvenated and revitalized. After all, one look at that heavenly bed and I was ready to crawl in. It was complete bliss.
I was checking in for my Radisson Admiral staycation for one main reason: a photo and video shoot with Your Favourite Dresses. My friend Cristina (of the ultra-popular blog, Shoe Tease) and I starred in a little promo video for the Toronto-based dress rental company. It was both hilarious and very glamorous. Essentially, the concept is me receiving a dress from #YFDresses, opening it up, trying it on—all that jazz. And then Cristina comes over in an equally stunning dress, we toast champagne, dance a little bit and then head out.
It might sound super simple and short but it’s adorable. We had so much fun filming it and I’m seriously considering my career choice right now. Hello, I was a natural actress! (Just kidding. Don’t want to be too conceited.) I channeled my most fierce self and I’m hoping it came across on film! Can’t wait to show you guys the finished project.
My room at the Radisson Admiral was beyond gorgeous. It was an eighth floor, corner suite with stunning views of the lake. I’d say it was probably the best room in the hotel. Don’t believe me? Check out the photos below.

Look how inviting that bed is. Wouldn’t you just want to crawl under the covers and never leave?! Yeah, me too. And that’s exactly what I did. Well, for the weekend anyways. I had such an amazing sleep on this bed. It’s probably for the best that I don’t have this one at home or I would never get up.
Well, you’ve got to love any bathroom that can produce a flawless mirror selfie, right? I loved all the natural lighting in there! The bathroom features a stall shower plus a separate bathtub—which gives you options! Also, this might sound strange but I loved that the toilet was hidden behind the door. It was out of the way and didn’t make an eyesore in the back of my photo! Score.
Robes? Check. Gym? Check. Pool? Check. However, the pool wasn’t open because, well, it’s winter and it’s outdoor. I’ve never swam in an outdoor pool in winter before but I get the feeling that it would be far less than pleasant. Oh well, that just means I’ll have to come back to the Radisson Admiral next summer!
The leopard print pillows:
Obviously these have a section of their own in this post. I pretty much shrieked with delight when I saw this leopard decor. If there was ever a sign stating that this hotel was definitely made for me, this is it. I need these at home ASAP.
The hotel layout:
Did you know that the Radisson Admiral’s interior is modelled after a ship? Pretty fitting since it’s located right on the Toronto Harbourfront. The massive staircase is a feature part of the hotel, too. We took a few photos there in our dresses. However, one thing I wouldn’t really recommend is climbing the staircase in 6-inch stilettos. But then again, a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do!
Mmm! Need I say more? The room service breakfast was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed it while curled up in bed, binging my show-of-the-moment, Mindhunter. Have you guys watched it?! Oh my god, so binge-worthy. And so was the breakfast.
Thank you so much to the Radisson Admiral Hotel for hosting our photo shoot and my weekend staycation! I loved every minute of being there and can’t wait to come back. To book your Radisson Admiral staycation, check out their packages here.
