Beauty Tips to Make You Gorgeous After a Wild Night

We all enjoy a night out every once in awhile, including the odd evening after work. But when a single drink turns into three or four, getting up the next morning is taxing. You’ll miss your alarm and sleep in, feel awful, and look like you’ve been dragged through a bush backwards (not the ultimate morning after beauty look). And you only have ten minutes to get yourself looking respectable for work.

What are you going to do?! I have some of the answers for you right here, so read on to find out more about morning after beauty!

Shower and brush your teeth

First of all, jump into the shower—and make it as cold as you can possibly bear. You only need to spend a couple of minutes in there, tops, but the cold water will wake you up, stimulate your skin, and give you a short, sharp shock that boosts your immunity and improves your circulation—vital for overcoming that hangover. Bring your toothbrush in with you to save time by cleaning your chops in the shower.

Use tinted moisturizer

There are plenty of tinted moisturizers out there, and they are essential if you want to look your best after a night out. The moisturizer will give your skin essential hydrationwhich it will need—and the tint will reduce any shades of grey (or green!) that you might want to hide.

Liberally apply face cream

The next step is to address your wrinkles and lines—which always look their worst when you are nursing a hangover. Look for some quality face creams that add a little more moisture and smooths out the skin. While no product will make you look perfect, the better quality creams can, at least, make you appear presentable!

Super quick foundation

I would always have an emergency foundation ready—you never know when you might need it. Foundation can be a lifesaver for morning after beauty. A simple liquid foundation is easy to apply, and with a good makeup sponge you can cover your face and neck in less than a couple of minutes.

Concealer = your bff

Concealer is every girl’s best friend when it comes to working after a late night. Those bags under your eyes always look at their heaviest when you haven’t slept properly, and a good under-eye concealer can work wonders for hiding dark shadows. Don’t forget, less is more when it comes to concealer. And anyways, the natural look is most definitely en vogue right now. Also, given you are in a rush, you don’t want to spend more than a couple of minutes on your eyes. Caking your face with makeup is never a good idea for work (or anywhere).

Powder and highlights

Again, you don’t need a lot of powder to pull off a good look. Just a few dabs with a blush brush should do it. Then it’s just a case of focusing on your highlights—which is the key to looking great after a night out. Focus on your upper cheekbones, the corners of your eyes, and below your eyebrows. A dash of lipstick, a small amount of eyeliner and a quick application of mascara, and you’ll be ready to take on the world again – on the outside, at least!
