Last week I had the absolute pleasure of having a Taronga Zoo brunch with my friend Cassy. It was every bit as cute as you might be imagining. We had breakfast rolls, fresh fruit, coffees, muffins (some people had champagne too but we never quite found out where that came from…) and then set off to see the animals.
We were allowed into the zoo before it opened to the public so we got a really great visit with those little cuties! Koalas, kangaroos, Tasmanian devils, you name it. Also, the platypus! I have a fun fact about platypuses for you:
When scientists in London received the first specimens of platypuses, they thought it was a ‘clever hoax’ and that someone had stitched together different animal parts to make this funny looking creature.
How hilarious is that?
