Last night I attended the Holiday Collection preview by Express at The Addison’s Residence in Toronto. Before we discuss the clothing let’s take a minute to talk about Addison’s; it’s this amazingly cool lounge that is made up to look like a “retro” Beverly Hills home. I hadn’t been until last weekend and all of a sudden I’ve found myself back there last night and with plans to return this coming weekend. The Addison’s sure know how to make you feel welcome – even if they aren’t ever home.
The venue was the perfect spot for the Express preview – shoes and bags sat on book shelves, coats and scarves hung on hooks in the entrance way and racks of glittery ensembles lined the living room, kitchen and hall. It actually kind of reminded me of my own apartment: clothes, clothes and more clothes everywhere.
Although it seemed to me a touch too early to be thinking about winter-y party clothes, it hit me that I might not be able to enjoy them at all this year! I plan to only be in Toronto for November and most holiday parties will be in December, right? I’ll be sweating off my makeup in the hot Australian summer by then! There were a few pieces that I could still get away with though.
Definitely, however, not my favourite piece of the bunch: the Sherpa Wedge Jacket. I tried it on and I didn’t ever want to take it off. It would be far too hot for the Aussie holiday season but I think I could just start wearing it here in November.
See more from Express‘ holiday collection on their website and shop all their other fabulous clothing too! Have you seen their campaign photos with Karlie Kloss?? They’re beyond gorgeous. Ugh, I love her. Happy (super, crazy, drastically, early) holidays!
