In one week today I’ll be sitting at Toronto Men’s Fashion Week (AKA TOM*FW) watching the new Christopher Bates collection come down the runway – probably oohing and ahhing at all the fabulous pieces. It will be the first time that the Fall/Winter 2015 collection is seen on the runway and the closing show of the week. Talk about going out with a bang!
The collection was inspired by da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man and takes into consideration the principles of proportion, mobility, geometry, architecture and anatomy – and of course, only uses the finest of fabrics.
“I design to complement and enhance the male form stylishly and comfortably,” says Christopher.
This collection was also 100% designed and produced in Italy and we can except to see exotic elements such as lamb suede, laser perforated denim and custom printed cotton shirting – recurring details in Bates collections.
Looking forward to seeing the show next week! Who else is attending?
