Welcome to my first post from New York, New York! I couldn’t be more thrilled to be here. I’m staying in the most beautiful condo just off 5th and Broadway with a magnificent view and floor to ceiling windows. One of the best parts: every store you can imagine is a two minute walk away on 5th Avenue. Thankfully I paid off my credit card before arriving.
We drove for nine hours last night and finally arrived in Manhattan at 4am. I passed out on a giant couch surrounded by eight different kinds of furry throw pillows and woke up this morning to the sound of the city and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. I thought I may have still been dreaming, but no, I’m really here.
We went wandering around a little bit today – checked out a few shops, had lunch at Umami Burger (best burger I’ve ever tasted), took Boo to the park, went for a jog around the city and now I’m back on the plush couch unwinding from the excitement of the day. When we were on our jog around W 16th Street we came across a really cute little boutique that sells a variety of designers from Montreal to Manhattan. They were just closing up but I think I might venture down for another look tomorrow. I found a leather clutch with two metal leopards on the front wearing diamond collars that I’m very much considering.
The way people dress here too – oh my god. I could sit at one of the sidewalk cafes almost all day and just people watch. In fact, I think I just might one of these days. I was inspired by probably at least twenty outfits today. It was incredible. Also, my goal for the week: be photographed by Humans of New York. I think I would die.
Anyways, I’m off to get ready to either A: go out for a drink or B: go for a sauna session upstairs just off the rooftop. Oh, and I also found out that Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom owned the penthouse in the building I’m staying in – until they divorced and now they’re selling. Why, why, why do people have to get divorced? That would have been an amazing networking opportunity. And trust me, I would have met her.
